The first images have been released for Zack Snyder’s upcoming CGI, 3D feature Legend of the Guardians formerly known as Guardians of Ga’Hoole. Scott Glenn is a wise man, or at least he’ll play one in Zack Snyder’s Sucker Punch. According to Empire Online, Glenn has joined the all-girl cast of the film that includes Emily Browning, Vanessa Hudgens, Abbie Cornish, Jena Malone and Jamie Chung. Glenn will serve as a mentor/guide to the Sucker Punch bunch. He’ll be what Professor Utonium was to the Powerpuff Girls.
It’s growing! The insanely huge cast of Zack Snyder’s gore-fest, Sucker Punch is expanding. Not too long ago Watchmen alum Carla Gugino signed on for a part, and now there’s word that a “mad man” has joined the mix. It’s been a while since we’ve heard anything about Zack Snyder’s upcoming all girl, ass-kicking fest, Sucker Punch. The last time I checked they were playing a serious game of shuffle board with it’s actors. According to Yahoo, we can expect another full blooded female to join the cast in the form of Watchmen alumni, Carla Gugino. The cast currently includes Emily Browning, Jamie Chung, Jena Malone, Vanessa Hudgens, and Abbie Cornish.
Last month we told you that the extended Director’s Cut of Zack Snyder’s Watchmen would be showing in select movie theaters (read Snyder 300 and Watchmen story). Well it is the week before Comic-Con, and as promised the theaters have been confirmed in four major cities: Los Angeles, Dallas, Minneapolis, and New York City.

Watchmen and 300 director Zack Snyder confirmed that he will be showing the Watchmen Director’s Cut in select movie theaters next month. The movie will show in theaters the weekend before the Comic-Con in Los Angeles, Dallas, Minneapolis, and New York. Just in case you don’t own Watchmen or 300 on Blu-ray, know that it is filled with infinite options. If you would like to only watch the films, you can do that, but if you’re hungry for more, there’s behind the scenes features and how the movies were made. Some movies are unfortunately shrouded with problems, and it looks like Zack Snyder’s latest project is one of them. There were already several casting issues that had to be worked out for the all girl led Sucker Punch, and now it’s release date has been moved. I wonder if another movie he did this year has anything to do with this? Synder’s not the only one feeling the burn, director Martin Campbell’s Green Lantern comic book adaptation is also being shuffled. The film’s Christmas 2010 release date is no longer set in stone, and has been pushed back to 2011.

Is there something in the water at Zack Snyder’s camp? Perhaps he got exposed to the Iron Man 2 casting disease and now his latest project has been infected. If you have no idea what I’m talking about, let me fill you in. Snyder’s film Sucker Punch, is supposed to be an all female, ass kicking flick. It’s about a young girl committed to an insane asylum, who dreams of escaping with the help of her fellow inmates. The leader of the pack is Baby Doll, a role that was originally given to Amanda Seyfried. She dropped out due to scheduling conflicts and was replaced by Emily Browning. That was only the beginning of the drama.

An unfortunate event occurred at a night time screening of Zack Snyder’s Watchmen. According to KMTR movie patrons in an Oregon theater got more than they bargained for when an unidentified male shot himself during the film. Police say the shooting occurred just after midnight at the Regal Cinema in Eugene. There were about 10 people present at the time, when a 24 year-old male decided to take his life.
