I just came across the news we’ve all been waiting for ever since the release of Darren Aronofsky’s The Wrestler. The film’s lead actor Mickey Rourke has been getting critical praise for his portrayal of the fictional professional wrestler Randy “The Ram” Robinson, and has received several awards and nominations to back it up. Thanks to the hype surrounding the film, and Rourke’s performance, we may get a chance to see fiction and reality go head to head at the biggest event in sports entertainment!

- Waltz With Bashir was named Best Picture of 2008 by the National Society of Film Critics, beating out Happy-Go-Lucky, and Wall-E. Waltz is an animated feature based on writer Ari Folman’s experience as a soldier during the 1982 invasion of Lebanon. [Variety]
- Rob Zombie’s Halloween sequel H2, will bring big changes to the traditional Michael Myers costume. The horror icon will now dawn a new mask! Yeah, I’m angry about it too, but Hollywood is at the point where their remaking entire franchises, therefore I’m not surprised. [ShocktillyouDrop]
- Check out Harold Ramis’ The Year One. It’s a Biblical comedy that stars Jack Black and Michael Cera as two lazy cavemen, who interact with some of the most famous people in Biblical history. The film co-stars Paul Rudd, David Cross, and Christopher Mintz-Plasse. [/Film]

While out promoting his latest project The Wrestler, Mickey Rourke spoke to ComingSoon.net about reprising his role as Marv in Sin City 2. In the past, Rourke has stated that he was ready and willing to be a part of the Robert Rodriguez, Frank Miller sequel. Unfortunately, this is no longer the case. Rourke has changed his tune, and is not interested in returning to the role.
