A trailer has just been released for the upcoming Woody Harrelson dramedy, Defendor. The film centers on a man named Arthur Poppington (Harrelson) who decides to become a superhero to help those in need. He duct tapes the letter D across his chest and attempts to fight crime in his spare time. We’ve previously posted some photos from the film, which looked both sad and hilarious at the same time.
I’m officially ready to view the trailer and watch the Defendor in action…

From the looks of it, this movie is going to be the perfect Halloween movie companion. The film has horror, action, comedy, and Woody Harrelson. What more could you ask for? A new theatrical poster has been released for the upcoming horror comedy, Zombieland. It features the main cast which includes Woody Harrelson, Abigail Breslin, Emma Stone, and Jesse Eisenberg. I feel kind of old because you can tell Abigail is turning into a little teenager. At least in this movie she plays a young teen, who happens to be a zombie killing bad ass.

When I saw these photos I literally laughed out loud. Woody Harrelson stars as the title character in the upcoming film, Defendor. It’s a dramedy that centers on a man named Arthur Poppington (Harrelson) who decides to become a superhero to help those in need. He duct tapes the letter D across his chest and attempts to fight crime in his spare time. Sure he sounds insane, but at least his costume is economically efficient.

During the press conference for Zombieland (watch videos) Woody Harrleson answered a question about his upcoming film The Messenger by up and coming director Oren Moverman. So far, there are whispers that Harrelson’s performance could earn him an Oscar nod by the end of the year. The film itself has already won two awards at the Berlin Film Festival and anyone who has seen, raves about it.
The story is about “an American soldier struggles with an ethical dilemma when he becomes involved with a widow of a fallen officer.”
Check out what he had to say about the film below…

***Update: More Videos Added Below***
Today at Comic-Con we spoke to Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Emma Stone, director Ruben Fleisher and writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick for their upcoming flick Zombieland. No, zombie films, funny or serious, fast or slow, are not original, but this does look like a new, fun take on a relatively used up idea. Although the cast didn’t have much to say in regards to the plot of the film because they didn’t want to give too much away, they were all too eager to talk about killing zombies for all different types of reasons and in all different types of ways.

***Update: You can check out an interview from Woody Harrelson Jesse Eisenberg, and Emma Stone promoting Zombieland, as well as director Roland Emmerich‘s views on his upcoming film 2012.
3:46: A fan asked Roland if the world did end in 2012, how would he want it to. He said that he hopes it doesn’t end. If we stopped having so many wars, we could start working on the planet.
3:43: A Spanish fan just asked Roland why he never destroyed Spain in any of his films. I think that was an attempt at humor but blah!
3:39: Roland wants to do a film adaptation of the sci-fi series, The Foundation from Isaac Asimov. He said he’s trying to get a script right now.
3:38: Holy Sh*t!!! For that to be 70 percent done it looked amazing!!! How much destruction can you put in one scene!!

The new indie film Defendor, gets a cone hell of cast. Up and coming, Kat Dennings (Nick and Nora’s Infinite Playlist, Housebunny) has signed on to play the role of Kat, along with Woody Harrelson (No Country for Old Men, The People Vs. Larry Flynt) and Sandra Oh (Sideways, Grey’s Anatomy). Harrelson will be playing Arthur, a regular man who believes he has a secret identity as the superhero Defendor. Sandra Oh plays his psychiatrist and Kat Dennings plays a teenager living on the streets whom Arthur befriends.
The picture is being produced by Darius Films’ principal Nicholas Tabarrok (Coopers Camera, Weirdsville, The Life and the Hard Times of Guy Terrifco), who was named one of Variety’s Top Producers to Watch. Defendor is written and will be directed by Peter Stebbings in his feature film directing debut. Principal photography begins in November in Toronto. What does Tabarrok think about the new cast?
