It’s no secret that William Shatner has signed on for and will star in a new CBS comedy called “$#*! My Dad Says“. It’s based on the popular Twitter page of the same name, where someone’s father dishes out the cold hard facts of life to the general public. On Wednesday the actor attended a Fall Preview , where countless members of the press got to see what awaits us next season. It was there that Shatner let loose on the show’s title. He wants “shit” in there and he wants it now!

Could William Shatner finally go where no Star Trek alum has gone before? According to several reports, The Shat might return to his native Canada to take a spot in public office…sort of. Apparently, a group of his loyal fans and fellow Canadians have gotten together and started a Facebook campaign to get the actor in the Governor General’s seat.

This past summer, Leonard Nimoy appeared in JJ Abrams‘ Star Trek reboot as his iconic character Mr. Spock alongside his replacement Zachary Quinto. A lot of us thought that William Shatner would do the same and reprise his role as Captain Kirk, but were disappointed when it didn’t happen. It turns out that the actor was written into the original screenplay, and a scene featuring Shatner has been dug up for all to see.

Now, I would have thought that these two would have met a LONG time ago. According to this video, the two only met a few weeks ago at the Shatner Project Benefit. As you can see below Chris Pine introduces himself to William Shatner and it appears as if the two have just met. Had they really never met? Maybe this is a video from a different benefit? Either way, it’s kind of cute to watch Pine shyly introduce himself to Shatner…
