For the most part, the veteran cast for the upcoming Scream sequel has been set with David Arquette, Courteney Cox, and Neve Campbell. The trio will be reprising their roles as Dewey, Gail, and Sydney, the sole survivors of the “Woodsboro murders.” Recently reports surfaced that Wes Craven might return as the director of the series, and we hear he’s closer than ever to making it official.

Could it be true? Could legendary director Wes Craven be back to helm the horror franchise he started almost 15 years ago? Writer Kevin Williamson, David Arquette and Courtney Cox were the only ones ready to return to the series when Scream 4 was first announced. The main star Neve Campbell, and Craven were the most reluctant to participate, but after a few weeks Campbell gave in and now according to Cinemablend so has the director.

The developing fourth installment of the popular Scream horror franchise just took a step in the right direction. Original cast members David Arquette and Courteney Cox have confirmed to EOnline that they will return for the upcoming sequel. A few weeks back we reported on some emerging details regarding the films future, including creator and writer Kevin Williamson’s attempt to add another trilogy to the series.

No pun intended, but when I read this latest news update I wanted to scream! For a while now there have been rumors circulating that there would be another sequel in the previously established Scream trilogy. At first there was talk of just one film, but now sources are saying there’s going to be another three, Star Wars style! According to MTV, creator Kevin Williamson is on board to write an all-new trilogy that will feature both old and new characters.

We’ve all seen the “Best Horror Movie” lists that come out every year around this time. Inevitably those things are full of films you probably would’ve liked if you’re John McCain’s age and saw them in black and white when they came out. (And you were probably just stoked that they were, um, talkies.) But, if you watch most of those old films today, you’ll be more likely to snooze than to scream. So, I present for your consideration, the Top Ten “Most Fun to Watch” Horror Movies. “Most Fun” means exactly what you think it means. A cop out? Perhaps. But, at least I don’t have to include Rosemary’s Baby.
