The cast for the feature debut of writer-producer-turned-director Alex Kurtzman is really coming together. THR is reporting that Olivia Wilde (who worked with the director on Cowboys & Aliens) has signed on to star in Welcome to People alongside Chris Pine and Elizabeth Banks.

Back in September, we reported that Chris Pine was in negotiations to star in a developing film called Welcome to People. Yes, the title sounds strange but the story is even stranger. The film will mark screenwriter Alex Kurtzman’s (Lost, Star Trek) directorial debut. And according to THR, he’s landed another actor for it in the form of the talented Elizabeth Banks.

Alex Kurtzman is breaking away from his long time writing partner Roberto Orci to do his own thing. As one of the minds behind “Lost,” “Fringe,” Transformers, and Star Trek (just to name a few) Kurtzman is ready to move on to bigger things.
