After weeks of bouncing between several of Hollywood’s hottest actresses Cameron Crowe has finally nailed down the female lead for his upcoming film We Bought a Zoo. According to Deadline, Scarlett Johansson has beat out Amy Adams, Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Rachel McAdams to land the part.
Last May, it was announced that Cameron Crowe would direct a feature adaptation of the Benjamin Mee memoir, We Bought a Zoo. It’s based on a true story that features plenty of drama and obstacles being thrown in the man’s way. According to Variety, Matt Damon is in talks to play the author.
American screenwriter and film director Cameron Crowe has been confirmed to helm the adaptation of Benjamin Mee’s novel, We Bought a Zoo. According to Collider, Crowe has already begun rewriting Aline Brosh McKenna’s original script, making the film more to his liking.
