Alexis Bledel will go from “Gilmore Girls” to stone cold assassin for her latest flick, Violet and Daisy. We previously reported that Saoirse Ronan had been cast as one-half of the deadly duo and Variety has confirmed that Bledel is the other. The movie will mark the directorial debut of Oscar winning screenwriter Geoffrey Fletcher.

Saoirse Ronan is really starting to turn into an untrustworthy character actress. She played a lying manipulator in Joe Wright’s Atonement, she’s also the lead in his upcoming assassin film Hanna, and now she’s getting locked and loaded for another drama called Violet & Daisy. According to Variety, Ronan and James Gandolfini will team up in the film that centers on a couple of “hit girls.”
