Despite the Roland Emmerich glitz and glamour that has absolutely nothing to do with Shakespeare and the overt repetition of names like Marlowe and Jonson (remember, they wrote plays too!), Anonymous is a success and Emmerich, though some may question with such a topic and tease for a few of the EXTREME wide shots, has managed to capture what truly matters about Shakespeare, the written word.

Production began on the film early last spring and includes the acting talents of Gerard Butler, William Hurt, and Vanessa Redgrave. Major developments have been made for Ridley Scott’s yet to be titled Robin Hood project. First off, Oscar winners Russell Crowe and Cate Blanchett will lead the cast as Robin Hood and Maid Marian. Second, a trio of talented actors have stepped into the roles of the Merry Men which include Kevin Durand as Little John, Scott Grimes as Will Scarlett, and Alan Doyle as Allan Adalye. With these five in place there were still several key roles that needed to be filled, until now.
