Michael Sheen will be a heavy cinematic presence over the next year with appearances in multiple blockbuster films. He’s managed to land roles in the long awaited Tron sequel, the vampire phenomenon New Moon, and the Gothic reimagining of Alice in Wonderland. With so many projects of interest on his plate, the actor had to give us the scoop on what’s been going on. We were lucky enough to get Sheen to cough up a few updates regarding his roles in the big three, and we even got a little Underworld 4 juice out of the deal.

You know all those rumors about there being another THREE Underworld movies on the way? Well, they’ve finally decided that they’re done with it, most likely. FINALLY someone decides not to move forward with an idea that involves vampires! Three cheers!

During a press conference today for Whiteout, Kate Beckinsale put some Underwold rumors to bed, saying that although she’s not against the idea, there’s just only so many times she’s willing to run around it rubber pants, and she’s most likely hit her limit.

I just don’t get the fascination with the Underworld franchise. I saw the first movie and I didn’t care to see anymore. Apparently, a lot of you out there can’t get enough of the films, and have caused the film’s studio Sony Screen Gems to take drastic action. Not only will there be more Underworld features in our future, but it’s original star Kate Beckinsale could be at the center of them.

I think you’re better of catching up on, or re-watching any of the 2009 Oscar nominated films. I bet you even though it’s a re-release, The Dark Knight is still going to cream the rest of the films. Inkheart is an okay kids movie, Underworld is relying on Bill Nigh’s awesomeness, and as for Donkey Punch it’s so ridiculously bad you that if you’re trashed and not easily offended, you MIGHT enjoy it. But I think this is one of the only movies that I would say, download, it’s not even worth the price of a DVD rental.

The comic book adaptation Atlantis Rising, has found itself a screenwriter. According to THR, Joby Harold is close to finalizing a deal with Dreamworks, to write the screenplay for the film. Atlantis has already landed itself a director in the form of Mr. Underworld, Len Wiseman. Joby Harold previously wrote and directed the 2007 crime thriller, Awake.
