A lot of new info has been released regarding Disney’s long awaited sequel Tron Legacy, including several photos from the set. Over at Collider, they had the opportunity to check out the film shoot over in Vancouver and they brought back a couple of mementos. We’ve got some images from inside the high tech Tron world, as well as its stars, the director Joesph Kosinski, and producer Steve Lisberger.

If you weren’t blown away by last night’s debut of Tron Legacy’s theatrical trailer you need to take a closer look. The video featured plenty of off the wall graphics that would make the most stubborn movie buff take notice. Within the trailer we saw plenty of new footage that highlighted several of the primary characters in the film including the return of Bruce Boxleitner from the original. Disney is trying to prove that their marketing campaign for Tron Legacy isn’t one dimensional, by releasing two new photos back to back. Just yesterday we saw the first image of Flynn’s arcade and now we have another image that features Garrett Hedlund standing in front of it. It’s been a long time since we’ve seen the in or outside of Kevin Flynn’s arcade from the world of Tron, but a new photo has surfaced from Disney’s Tron Legacy marking its return. Earlier today we told you about the Tron Legacy viral scavenger hunt that was taking place thanks via the website Flynn Lives. Now it seems that all of the hard work of its participants has led them to another website entitled, Pitcell.com. There, a new photo from the movie was revealed (above) and info about an exclusive IMAX event taking place this weekend.
The interactive marketing campaign that Disney has developed for Tron Legacy is no joke. It doesn’t matter if you were around when the first film was released, or a newbie who caught it on DVD, you can enjoy their latest ploy. According to the Flynn Lives website there are a list of cities that are participating in a Tron Legacy event and if yours is on it, it’s time to get involved.
Tron Legacy will hit theaters on December 17th, and fans are eager for the release of its first theatrical trailer. A short teaser dropped back in July, but we need something new to tide us over until the big day. According to AICN, a full length trailer is on its way and it will premiere in front of a big budget March release.
