Transformers: Dark of the Moon hits theaters June 28, but the film premiered in Moscow a couple days ago, with director Michael Bay and stars Shia LaBeouf, John Malkovich, Tyrese Gibson, Jush Duhamel, and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley in attendance. For the July 1 release of Transformers: Dark (Side) of the Moon, it’s been interesting to see the returning cast and crew go on an apology tour. Star Shia LaBeouf has said he knows the film sucked, and Michael Bay has made similar comments. Which is funny in that the second film made over $400 Million domestic, and does have a number of apologists. But for the third film – which stars LaBeouf along side Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson, John Malkovich, and Megan Fox replacement Rosie Huntington-Whiteley – they’ve said they’re going back to basics. This year several highly anticipated sequels are headed to theaters including Michael Bay’s Transformers Dark of the Moon (July 1), and Brad Bird’s Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol (December 16). Not to be outdone, JJ Abrams will also make his presence known with the sci-fi project Super 8 (June 10) and we can’t forget the Peter Jackson – Steven Spielberg collaboration The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn (December 28). According to the IMAX Corporation, we’ll be able to see all four films plastered on their high-def screens the day and date of their theatrical releases.

Over at Apple, they’ve just premiered the first teaser trailer for Transformers: Dark of the Moon. It’s the follow up to 2009′s Revenge of the Fallen and it features the return of Shia LaBeouf, Tyrese Gibson, and Josh Duhamel. Over the past few months we’ve seen our fair share of behind the scenes footage and photos from Michael Bay’s upcoming Transformers sequel, but nothing official. The film opens in theaters on July 1, 2011 and we haven’t seen a teaser, or a legit poster promoting it yet. The folks over at Joblo, seem to have found something that might be the first piece of marketing for Transformers: Dark of the Moon.
