Well, fans of remakes of really, really odd 1980s Arnold Schwarzenegger films, along with fans of really, really pretty people, have something to celebrate this morning–/Film reports that, in addition to Colin Farrell playing hero Douglas Quaid and Bryan Cranston playing the bad guy, Kate Beckinsale and Jessica Biel have both just been announced as recent add-ons to the cast of the Total Recall remake.  In addition, Bill Nighy will round out the cast as resistance leader Quatto.

When you’re on one of the most respected shows on Television, the motion pictures come calling, and Bryan Cranston has been able to turn his work on “Breaking Bad” into a great audition reel. He’s currently in negotiations to play the bad guy in Len Wiseman‘s Total Recall remake against Colin Farrell, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Currently there is no start date, but if this comes to pass, it would likely be shortly after Cranston wraps on the fourth season of “Breaking Bad,” which is currently shooting.

Back in October it was reported that Irish actor Colin Farrell was in talks to star in the remake of the cult sci-fi film Total Recall. The original was released in 1990 and starred Arnold Schwarzeneggar and to say that the actors look nothing alike would be an understatement. But despite their physical differences, Farrell is being primed to take over the lead in the new film based on the Philip K. Dick story.

Do you remember Total Recall? The sci-fi thriller that starred Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sharon Stone? The film that’s probably best remembered for it’s exploding heads, and alien races is getting remade. I hope your not surprised. You knew this was coming sooner or later. According to THR, Neal H.
