Men In Black 3 has become a blockbuster underdog, mainly because it’s the movie no one was asking for, and has to overcome a lot of bad buzz about re-shoots. It’s been 10 years since we last saw Will Smith‘s Agent J and Tommy Lee Jones‘ Agent K monitor alien activity on Earth, and the new film offers a time travel twist which introduces Josh Brolin as the new K, placing Jones in the back seat. Since exploding onto the big-screen in 1994 with Ace Ventura: Pet Detective, The Mask, and Dumb & Dumber, Jim Carrey has been in a fierce battle against his own image. As a result, he has attempted to branch out into more dramatic, artsy fare in recent years, with middling results. Because of this, the announcement that Carrey had signed on for Dumb & Dumber 2 (only his second sequel) came as a pleasant surprise. Will the film mark the beginning of a comedic rebirth for Carrey?
