Previous to Thor, Tom Hiddleston was mostly known for his TV work, but post-Thor, he’s been working like crazy and has three more picture due out this year – all with great directors. And then there’s The Avengers, which is also on his plate. WonderCon may be the less successful but still respectable sibling of ComicCon, but that doesn’t mean it can’t offer some exclusives. And today Marvel has put out two new posters for Thor, which opens May 6. These posters feature Chris Hemsworth as Thor looking at Tom Hiddleston as Loki. Having not seen the film, advertising suggests that Idris Elba‘s Heimdall is the main baddie in this picture, but rumors are that Loki has a much bigger role in an upcoming Marvel spin-off. After months of waiting, we finally got to sit down and have a chat with the cast of Marvel’s next theatrical release, Thor. The film will be directed by Kenneth Branagh and stars Australian native Chris Hemsworth as the title character. He’s a relative newcomer who’ll be supported by several veteran actors like Anthony Hopkins who plays his father Odin. At the official Comic-Con press junket a lot of the main talent from the film were in attendance including Branagh, Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Kat Dennings, Clark Gregg, and even Marvel Chief Kevin Feige got in on the action. Movement on the Thor front has been quick and steady as Marvel and director Kenneth Branagh have finally nailed down the film’s leads. First, Chris Hemsworth was announced to star as the title character this past weekend, and now the role of his nemesis has been filled as well. According to NikkeFinke (who broke the news about Hemsworth) Thor’s villain Loki will be portrayed by Britsh actor Tom Hiddleston. That’s right, another unknown foreign import to add to the cast.
