Just yesterday we learned that Jackie Earle Haley and Bella Heathcoate were in talks to join Tim Burton’s Dark Shadows adaptation, and today another actor can be added to the list. According to Deadline, French star Eva Green has been cast in the film as the female lead opposite Johnny Depp.

It looks like the director went through his filmography and decided to get the band back together with Winona Ryder, Catherine O’Hara, Martin Landau, and Martin Short.

Back in March we reported that Tim Burton was interested in creating a new version of The Addams Family. If you remember, the last time we saw the creepy family on screen was in 1993 with Addams Family Values, which was directed by Barry Sonnenfeld. According to Deadline, Burton is ready to put his own dark twist on the series and he’s getting a little help from the writers of his 1994 feature, Ed Wood.

According to THR, DreamWorks has been trying to get Burton to move from creative consultant to director of their latest adaptation, Monsterpocalypse.
