Theoretically, McG‘s This Means War is a perfect twist on the romantic comedy. You’ve often got possible lovers fighting over one person, so why not have them be people who can actually fight? Reese Witherspoon [interview] stars as the girl stuck between two deep cover operatives (Tom Hardy, Chris Pine) in this surprisingly unpleasant riff on the cinematic romantic triangle.

Is he a Nazi or is he a Basterd? Well, apparently he’s a Nazi turned Basterd, in Quentin Tarantino‘s WWII epic, Inglorious Batserds.

The actors real name is Til Schweiger and his characters name is Sgt. Stiglitz, so it’s kind of easy to see how one might assume he’s a Nazi, especially when you look at him (oh how stereotypes always work!). But no! He’s not a Nazi, he’s a grade-A psychopath with a gun who was recruited by the Basterds to kill Nazis.

Quentin Tarantino’s Inglourious Basterds began principal photography last week on location in Germany.  The ensemble cast of Inglourious Basterds includes Brad Pitt, Diane Kruger, Mélanie Laurent, Christoph Waltz, Daniel Brühl, Eli Roth, Samm Levine, B.J. Novak, Til Schweiger, Gedeon Burkhard, Paul Rust, Michael Bacall, Omar Doom, Sylvester Groth, Julie Dreyfus, Jacky Ido, August Diehl, Martin Wuttke, Richard Sammel, Christian Berkel, Sönke Möhring, Michael Fassbender, Mike Myers, Rod Taylor, Denis Menochet and Cloris Leachman. Now, that is a cast. I wonder if any of them get to say more than one line?
