In 2009 we didn’t get our Marvel blockbuster fix, instead we got more Transformers and more Potter, but 2010 will be a different story. Iron Man is back and he’s going to kick off an awesome line up of Marvel films that will cover the next two years. What actor in their right mind would leave a gig on one of the most anticipated films of the new decade? I don’t know of any so when you get a name, let me know. Until then, here’s a casting shake up that marks a drastic shift in Kenneth Branagh’s Thor movie. Stuart Townsend was originally signed on to star in the film as one of the Warriors Three, but that’s no longer the case. The actor suddenly quit the film, and has been replaced.

Is Marvel on crack? Have they been sniffing the glue at the House of Mouse? Spider-Man 4 has enough problems on its plate without this latest piece of news. The upcoming Spidey film and Kenneth Branagh’s Thor were set to debut within weeks of each other during the summer of 2011, but that schedule has gone out the window. Desperate times call for desperate measures, and the shifting of Thor’s release date is one of them.
