Last December, a teaser trailer was released for Disney and Jerry Bruckheimer’s upcoming collaboration, The Sorcerer’s Apprentice. The film stars Nicolas Cage, a bad wig, and How To Train Your Dragon’s Jay Baruchel as the title character. Today an international trailer has been released and it shows some new footage, more action but sadly, less Monica Bellucci.

The first theatrical trailer has been released for Jon Turteltaub’s The Sorcerer’s Apprentice. The film stars Nicolas Cage as the sorcerer in question and Jay Baruchel as his apprentice. In all honesty after watching the footage a couple of times the movie looks mediocre, but it does have some good parts.

The movie will be a family fantasy film, (the three f’s), that will include some elements from the classic animated feature Fantasia. JustJared has recently posted some new photos of Monica Bellucci and Nicolas Cage stirring up some magic on the set of Jon Turteltaub‘s (Cool Runnings, National Treasues 1 and 2) new film, The Sorcerer’s Apprentice. The film is currently shooting in Battery Park, New York. Between the fire and Bellucci’s cleavage, one thing is for sure, this is one hot kids film.
Bellucci, who is 44-year-old (and still as sexy as ever) plays Veronica, a sorceress and the long-lost love of Nicolas’ character, Balthazar Blake.

Even though production began a while ago, Nicolas Cage’s upcoming project The Sorcerer’s Apprentice is still adding to it’s cast. Apprentice is loosely based on the Disney animated classic Fantasia which featured Mickey Mouse. In this version Cage plays a contemporary sorcerer who leaves everything in the hands of his apprentice (Jay Baruchel) when he goes on a trip. According to Variety, Italian actress Monica Bellucci has been tapped to co-star in the film opposite Cage as a love interest and a sorceress.

The Nicolas Cage lead, modern day fairytale The Sorcerer’s Apprentice just got hit with a dose of “rock’n'rolla.” According to /Film Toby Kebbell, star of Guy Ritchie’s indie comedy RocknRolla has just joined the cast of Apprentice. Kebbell will star as Drake Stone, a “celebrity illusionist” and bonafide bad boy. He will align himself with the film’s villain an evil sorcerer named Hovarth, played by Alfred Molina.
