Our latest superhero is funny man Seth Rogen. This weekend he debuted a green eye-mask in The Green Hornet (review) and brought in $34 million, topping the box office charts, but still coming in under our predictions though we were dead on with The Dilemma and a number others. Also new this weekend was the Vince Vaughn and Kevin James comedy The Dilemma (review) which came in second under The Green Hornet. It’s 2011, and it’s in with the new and out with the old… movies.

Despite The Dilemma being promoted as a “comedy” with comedic heavy weights Vince Vaughn and Mall Cop Paul… I mean Kevin James leading the way, from the look of these clips there’s a lot more too Ron Howard’s latest relationship adventure that the first trailer led us to believe… either that or it’s really not that funny as it’s supposed to be. Maybe it’s the lack of music or context but something about these clips leaves me wanting more.

It seems as if The Dilemma is living up to its name! Though Universal agreed to pull Vince Vaughn’s character’s line “Electric cars are… gay” from the trailer (watch now) for the upcoming comedy, Director Ron Howard refuses to have the line be pulled from the film saying that he feels his freedom of speech is being attacked.
A few weeks ago the first trailer for the film was attacked by GLAAD saying that the joke was harmful and slanderous. Howard feels differently and is has just released a statement defending his film…

A couple weeks ago Universal released the teaser trailer for the new Ron Howard comedy, The Dilemma and it was received with luke warm arms. The trailer came under fire by a few choice individuals such as Anderson Cooper and GLAAD regarding a joke that appears in the beginning of the trailer. Vince Vaughn’s character says, “Electric cars are… gay.” Yep, that’s what he says and it got people pissed, so the studio decided to remove it and it’s nowhere to be found in their new domestic version.
