With the exception of Nick Fury, no one cares about The Avenger Initiative more than Agent Phil Coulson. He’s been there since the beginning collecting team members like Easter eggs in a scavenger hunt. After four years and five films, this week, we’ll finally see The Avengers puzzle solved. Shortly after the movie’s Hollywood premiere (on April 11), ScreenCrave spoke with actor Clark Gregg about his pivotal role in the superhero mash-up. The Hulk—while one of the wilder, more interesting characters in the Marvel Universe, he’s also one that has never properly translated onto film. Sure, he’s had a soap opera-y TV show and a handful of cheesy TV movies, a flawed but deeply interesting Ang Lee film, and then a blander than bland reboot with Edward Norton, but he’s never had something truly great. Now, thanks to the overwhelmingly popular reaction to the character in The Avengers, we may be getting a third cinematic attempt at a solo Hulk film.

Since exploding onto the screen in 2008, Marvel’s Iron Man has imbedded himself into the pop culture. In addition to headlining two Hollywood blockbusters, the character made a scene stealing cameo appearance in 2008′s The Incredible Hulk and will be featured prominently in The Avengers, which hits theaters Friday. As such, it’s something of a surprise to hear that Marvel’s Kevin Feige is ready to replace Downey if need be once filming wraps on Iron Man 3 later this year.

There are four films this weekend: The Five Year Engagement, The Pirates! Band of Misfits, The Raven and Safe. By next weekend, most will be dead. Such are the offerings before the summer season, films that are either meant to be counter-programming, or studio dumps that are being release partly out of contractual obligation. Let’s talk the numbers shall we?

We’re just under two weeks until the official release of The Avengers, one of the most anticipated films of 2012. The Joss Whedon-directed superhero film features such Marvel hotshots as Iron Man, Thor, Captain America, the Hulk, Black Widow and Hawkeye teaming up to defend Earth from the threat posed by Thor’s villainous brother, Loki. And in a new clip from the film, you can see how Black Widow draws a cranky Bruce Banner/Hulk into the Avengers.
