The Oscar winner was set to do a cameo in the sequel but the cast and crew were against it causing director Todd Phillips to drop him. Rumors soon spread that Galifianakis was the main culprit, who caused Gibson to get tossed. Galifianakis recently appeared on an episode of “The Today Show” to promote his new film, Due Date and he addressed the speculation regarding his involvement.
