This week, the movie world has a little bit for everyone from the big blockbuster Terminator Salvation to family comedy Night at Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian. If you are in the mood for something different and more edgy there is director Steven Soderberg’s The Girlfriend Experience, which follows the life of a call-girl, played by real life porn star Sasha Gray. My personal favorite has to be Easy Virtue starring Jessica Biel, Kristin Scott Thomas and Colin Firth. It’s the story of a young Englishman who takes his new American Bride to meet his family in England. It is the classic mother-in-law against new daughter-in-law storyline.
Here are the movie releases for the week of May 22:

A few weeks ago we posted some of Sam Worthington‘s quotes on his future projects from our interview with him for Terminator Salvation. It’s no wonder he keeps getting cast in big action movies. He’s a big Australian guy who started off as a brick layer and takes nothing for granted. He’s completely down to earth and he doesn’t mind getting beaten up a bit on set, in fact, I think he likes it.
Now, with the release of Terminator, let’s see what he has to say about his idea to incorporate Dorthy from the Wizard of Oz into his death row character Marcus, working with Christian Bale and McG, becoming a star and more…

McG‘s film, Terminator Salvation starring Christian Bale and Sam Worthington will be released in theaters this Friday, May 22nd. One thing is for sure, McG’s personality is just as big as his films. It’s not everyday that you hear a Director say: “I’ve got no business. I’m base packing a Dura-Flame,”(and yes he is referring to what you think he’s referring too), “I definitely hate myself, I can promise you that,” and “Who calls himself McG?” all in one interview. In fact, McG is possibly the most energetic and yet oddly masochistic Directors I’ve ever spoken to.
9/10 of the times, we show up to interview filmmakers and wait at least an hour for them to arrive. But as I walked over to where I would be doing the interview, there was McG standing in the hallway, 15 minutes early, by himself, waiting eagerly for the press to arrive.
McG is surprisingly self aware of who he is and who the public thinks he is. He’s not out to try and fool you, he’s only out to try to impress you and if very eager to do so. After this interview, I he’s impressed be a bit, but more than that, he’s fascinated me.
Check out what he had to say below…

One things for sure, this guy is an action man. When he walked into the room for the interview and you could tell by his swagger, thick accent, and constant swearing that he’d rather be getting “pissed” with his friends or falling off a truck on some set then talking to a room full of press, but as he says “it’s part of the job.”
As many of you know, we’re about to see a lot of Worthington‘s face on the big screen; between Terminator: Salvation, Avatar, Last Night, The Debt, and Clash of the Titans (which he is currently shooting), he’s already made it big in Hollywood, we’ve just yet to see him do his thing. He is the next big action man in town. And it’s no wonder he’s so hardcore! He didn’t exactly grow up in the theater. He started out as a brick layer in Australia, who happened across acting through a girl he was dating. He’s certainly not afraid of any real action (bruises on his hands proved that) and he even playfully teased Anton Yelchin about doing “real” actions scenes.
In the interview today, he talked about working with “Jimmy” on Avatar and his upcoming role in Clash of the Titans. Here are a few of the highlights of what he had to say about his upcoming projects…

I think it’s safe to say, that many of us are curious to see what McG‘s interpretation of the Terminator series will be like. We know that he has taken a number of risks in making a prequel, as he’s admitted, that there is “not a happy little bow of an ending at all. The ending is tough and requires reflection.” Fans of the series may not be happy if he gets too creative on them. That being said, it looks like McG is feeling pretty confident about his upcoming, mega-blockbuster Terminator: Salvation. In fact, he’s so confident that the question isn’t, “if” he will be doing another Terminator film after this, but “what” the new film will be about.
McG told FilmJournal his thoughts on Terminator 5:

OK. It was in no way my intention to post two Terminator posts so closely together. It just kind of happened that way.
After the Terminator concept art went up (really cool), I found three new, TV spots for McG‘s upcoming machine vs. man, blow um up, spectacular Terminator Salvation. We now have proof that there are other actors in the film aside from Christian Bale, Sam Worthington, and machines. Anton Yelchin, who is also playing Pavel Chekov in Star Trek, pops up in the last TV spots and gives us some insight on staying alive in Terminator land.
