Arnold Schwarzenegger has been linked to this summer’s Terminator Salvation, and next year’s Sylvester Stallone flick The Expendables. The California Governor has been quiet for the most part regarding his involvement with both films, but he’s finally decided to break his silence. According to FirstShowing, Schwarzenegger spoke about his reluctance to appear in the fourth installment of the Terminator franchise, but his eagerness to work with Sly in the ’80′s action homage The Expendables.

We still have a little while until the release on Terminator: Salvation in May, but they’re starting to really push this film. They now have ANOTHER full length trailer and although I REALLY like this new one, I feel like it reveals a bit too much. Plus, I’m still wondering when the hell they’re going to show Helenia Bonham Carter in one of these trailers. They’ve shown nearly everyone else, except for her. I wonder what they’re hiding?

Over the weekend I came across the latest posters and production stills from this summer’s Terminator Salvation. Courtesy of YahooMovies, we have several images which feature Christian Bale, Sam Worthington, and even a Terminator itself! The film is directed by McG, and co-stars Bryce Dallas Howard, Moon Bloodgood and Anton Yelchin. You can view the full sized photos by clicking on the thumbnails after the jump. Here are some of the top news stories from WonderCon weekend….
- Will the cast from Star Trek : The Next Generation make an appearance in the new Star Trek movie? At the IDW Comics panel at WonderCon, they spoke about how the TNG characters play an important role in the Star Trek prequel comic, which is the lead in to the film. “The end of issue 4 is a cliffhanger and is going to continue in the first few minutes of the movie.” [Latino Review]
- Is a Cloverfield sequel officially in the works? At the J.J Abrams Star Trek panel, the films director actually gave somewhat of a confirmation regarding the movies progress.”We’re actually working on an idea right now.” [Coming Soon]

***Update: Bale apologizes on LA radio station***
Alright. There is audio going around of Christian Bale getting upset on the set of Terminator: Salvation after the DP (Director of Photography a very well respected position on set) ruins a take (for what sounds like a second time) by walking in front of a light. All I can say is, of course he got upset! Do you know how much effort an actor like Christian Bale puts into his work? Every single moment is huge. If this was a big scene his adrenaline is high, he is reacting to everything around him and he is laying himself on the line. An actor is expected to wear all of their emotions on their sleeve and someone as extreme as Bale let’s it all go, which is why he’s the amazing actor that we all love. On a giant production such as Terminator: Salvation you expect those working around you to be as professional as you.
Honestly, I would never even post this, except for the fact that I would rather people hear it here, where people understand film-making than somewhere else where they are slagging Christian Bale off for in essence doing his job and doing it well.

Scott from ComingSoon.net recently got to take a little visit of the Terminator Salvation set in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Despite the 100 degree temperatures, McG was excited to talk about his film and was willing to give him a tour of the set, show him 15 minutes of the latest action footage (without special effects of course) and walked him through almost all of the films plot with production paintings. Pretty f-ing cool.
