If you grew up in the nineties, fighting video games were all the rage. We had Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, Killer Instinct, and of course Tekken. There have been several animated film versions of the Tekken game, but the first live action adaptation is on its way. If you’re a fan of Jin, Nina, and Heihachi here’s your chance to finally see them live and in living color.
If your a regular on this site, you know how much I’ve been complaining about the craptastic marketing being done for Dragonball:Evolution, G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra, and Streetfighter: The Legend of Chun Li. Granted none of these movies look like they’re going to blow me away with their content, but the lack of studio support is disturbing. Another prime example of lackluster promotion comes to us from the live action adaptation of Tekken. Yes, you read that right! A lot of people didn’t know about this one and I wonder why? News regarding this movie is hard to come by so imagine how surprised I was when I discovered two production stills over at FirstShowing.net!
