When the original American Pie came out in 1999, it was a surprise hit and generated two quick sequels – both successful, but they could tell they wore out the original cast, while a number of DTV films were generated as spin-offs. So this is pretty much the most depressing thing ever (for today, anyway). Remember when renowned ass Tara Reid made an ass out of herself (shocker!) by saying that she was set to star in the upcoming sequel to the cult classic The Big Lebowski? Well, she did, claiming that The Big Lebowski 2 was coming soon to a theater near you. And no one was more surprised to hear that than Lebowski creators the Coen brothers, who stated they have no intention of making a sequel, nor is one in the works.
So this embarrassing grab at attention by Reid only lasted a second and we could let it die, right? Wrong.
