Sylvester Stallone has always been a bit of a bad-ass, but he seems to have taken it a bit to far on the set of his latest movie, The Expendables. The new movie has got a strong roster of action-flick alumni, including Bruce Willis, Dolph Lundgren, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Mickey Rourke, and Jason Statham. Apparently they beat the heck out of each other and Stallone has kept quiet about the injuries until now.

Sylvester Stallone will get some much deserved love from the jury at next month’s Venice Film Festival. According to Yahoo News, the actor will be honored with the “Glory to the Filmmaker” award. Stallone will be following in the footsteps of Japan’s Takeshi Kitano, Iranian Abbas Kiarostami and France’s Agnes Varda as a recipient of the prize. “The jury at the 66th Venice Film Festival, which runs from 2 to 12 September, will be headed by Taiwanese director Ang Lee.”

Finally! A photo of Mickey Rourke in character from Sylvester Stallone’s upcoming action epic The Expendables has hit the net! It looks to me as if the actor is rocking the same hair he has in Iron Man 2, so someone must have made both films back to back. Either way, this flick is set to hit theaters next April with Iron Man 2 following in May. The full photo features Rourke and Stallone doing a very manly activity, in a very manly place… the tattoo parlor.

Hollywood’s obsession with the dollar has officially reached it’s saturation point. I’m not just referring to all the remakes, but the constant need to make every film PG-13 just so they can cash in on the disposable income of teenagers! I’ve just come across the ridiculous news that Sylvester Stallone’s upcoming action flick The Expendables could possibly become a victim to this ratings trend.
