If only it could still be April 1 and this be considered some kind of sick April Fool’s Day gag on the part of a cruel and indifferent universe: Ashton Kutcher, he of the trucker hats, Punk’d, and Two and a Half Men, the actor whose best career work is limited to That ‘70s Show, will be portraying Steve Jobs in an upcoming biopic. That’s right—the guy who replaced Charlie Sheen and somehow (though many thought this wouldn’t be possible) made Two and a Half Men even worse, will be playing a guy who changed the world. You win, universe, you win.

Well… that was quick. Just five days after Steve Jobs, co-founder and former CEO of Apple Inc. and creator of everything awesome in your life ever, passed away due to pancreatic cancer, Sony is already on the move to buy the rights to Jobs’ life story and make a film about his life, which is in no way capitalizing on his death. Not at all. Despite the fact that this movie could have been developed anytime over the past four or five years. Nope, nothing exploitative about this at all, especially since Jobs’ name isn’t, like, trending everywhere right now.

Today Steve Jobs did was he does best, he made a huge announcement. At the latest Apple event he unveiled their new line of iPods, and got a little help from a couple Grammy winners (Chris Martin from Coldplay and Lady Gaga). Who knew Jobs was tight with those two? He also revealed the company’s new marketing strategy for Apple TV, which hasn’t caught on as much as his other products.
