With Thanksgiving weekend just passed, it seems that the studio is slow on their roll with this weeks releases. To wit, there are no big classic titles hitting streets today, but there are a number of recent movies, including the latest Step Up film, Men in Black III, and some of the late summer films. Check it out.

There was word that a good quarter of the movie-going public were scared because of the shooting that happened last weekend. So scared they probably wouldn't go to movies this weekend. Looking at the numbers, it shows. Looking at headline news, it appears their worries were unfounded.

The Dark Knight Rises opened big but not so big that it broke any major records. But that too can be qualified in that in pure ticket sales it would be the #1 if - say - the film were in 3D.  TDKR may just make somewhere north of $450 Million domestic instead of trumping The Avengers.
