No, not the semi-reviled explorer! The semi-reviled writer and director! You’ve got a day off, there’s no family celebration, and there’s nothing whatsoever to do…so you might as well spend Columbus Day with Chris Columbus, as he’s got something for everyone. Any time I hear a new Indiana Jones 5 rumor, I think of the South Park episode where Spielberg and Lucas rape Indie. It looks like Indie had better keep his pants down for a little longer, because they’re not quite done with him yet. That’s right, rumors are circulating that the fifth Indiana Jones will focus on the Bermuda Triangle.
I can see your reactions now, fellow evolved apes: Shaking your head in shame. Cringing in your chair. Closing the browser quickly as to avoid retaining the information. Too late. Finally, some interesting news regarding the Steven Spielberg, Peter Jackson adaptation of the Belgian comic, Tintin! According to Joblo, funny men Simon Pegg and Nick Frost have been cast as the Thompson twins! Pegg and Frost aren’t exactly spitting images of one another but their comedic gold! The duo are best known from their collaborations in the comedies Hot Fuzz and my personal favorite Shaun of the Dead.
The adventures of the popular Belgian comic-strip hero and his faithful dog Snowy will feature Simon Pegg and Nick Frost as Thompson and Thomson, the bumbling twin detectives who provide much of the comic relief in the famed graphic novels.
***Update: Do you want more stories about Simon Pegg and Nick Frost? Yeah, we thought so. We love them too. Here are a few more stories about Nick Frost and Simon Pegg, and their new films Paul and Tintin…

Two weeks ago is was announced that Steven Spielberg and Will Smith would be teaming up to remake Oldboy. The reaction was less than positive. The film is a classic and fans were not taking to the idea of a dulled down American remake. Will Smith officially confirmed to FilmSchoolRejects on the red carpet for Seven Pounds that yes he will be starring in version of Oldboy, but it’s not based off Chan-wook Park‘s 2003 version.
Here is what he had to say…
