The end of an era is near. The CW has announced the date for the final episode of “Smallville.” The long running series has been on the air for a decade, and has followed the humble beginning of Clark Kent from an awkward teenager to a man. His legacy will come full circle this May, when he finally takes the leap we’ve all been waiting for.
Several weeks ago it was confirmed that “Desperate Housewives” star Teri Hatcher would make a guest appearance on The CW’s “Smallville.” If you’re not a fan of the Superman franchise, or have no knowledge of Hatcher’s acting resume prior to “Housewives” let me school you. The actress’s first major TV role was on the nineties series “Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman.” Hatcher was the Lois Lane that many of us eighties babies grew up on and now she’s returning to her roots along side Erica Durance who plays the current incarnation of the character. The wait is almost over. The 10th and final season premiere of “Smallville” is upon us and a clip from the episode entitled “Lazarus” has been released as well as a few eye opening photos. First off, we have a video that features Cassidy Freeman as Tess Mercer, and a young clone giving her the lowdown on his creation and his fellow brethren. He’s back! One of the most well-known and made fun of superheroes in the DC Universe will reappear during the 10th and final season of “Smallville” According to EW, Alan Ritchson has signed on to reprise his role as Arthur “AC” Curry (a.k.a. Aquaman) during November sweeps. Sniff, sniff. Do you smell another Justice League episode coming on or is that just us?
The season premiere of “Smallville” is just a few weeks away and The CW has finally decided to release an official description. The network sent out a press release that starts off with “The end of the beginning starts here. Taking flight in its tenth and final season, this modern retelling of a hero’s legendary origins continues to blend realism, action, heart and humor as Clark Kent (Tom Welling) soars toward claiming his birthright.”
