Normally I see a film like this and I immediately cast it off as mundane and pointless, but there is something about running into your old high school nemesis’ and having them be Jamie Lee Curtis and Sigourney Weaver that catches my attention.
You Again is all about how none of us ever, EVER get over high school even if we’ve always wanted to… if you were the nerd who go picked on or the popular kid who everyone thought would go somewhere, there’s something about that time of your life that makes you always try to leave behind but can never escape. And later in life, no matter how successful you are, the second you are faced with someone from that time of your life, you will regress and be left wondering where all your maturity went.
