How many new trailers can premiere in one day? Let’s find out! Last night on Spike TV they debut a new trailer for Martin Scorsese‘s Shutter Island. Oddly enough it’s a shorter take on the previous trailer we’ve seen. Either way, it does manage to sneak in a few flashes of never before seen footage, featuring Leonardo DiCaprio and his crazy eyes.

The second trailer for Martin Scorsese‘s thriller Shutter Island, has been released and it’s creepy as ever. The film stars Leonardo DiCaprio and Mark Ruffalo as U.S. marshals sent to an exclusive mental hospital to investigate a woman’s disappearance. Once they arrive, they’re treated more like patients than members of the government, and slowly but surely they discover the inmates on the island might not be so crazy after all.

Five posters from some of the most anticipated films of this year and beyond have just popped up online. The images featured are for Iron Man 2, The Last Airbender, Shutter Island, The Lovely Bones, and Up in the Air. All the films promoted are Paramount releases and star some pretty big names, such as George Clooney, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Robert Downey, Jr. Some of these aren’t that amazing, but I do love the one sheet for Shutter Island. If you think think the cropped photo above is intense, check out the full sized one after the jump.

As I was watching the new Shutter Island trailer for Martin Scorsese‘s film and I couldn’t help but keep thinking over and over, “wow these people know how to make a film.” From the wide shots over the ocean to the paper flying around mischievously, there are some beautiful scenes in this film. If one thing is for sure, it’s that Scorsese only works with the best in the business, including cinematographer, Robert Richardson who has worked on Inglourious Basterds, A Few Good Men, Platoon, Nixon and MANY more. His resume says enough, but in case you need proof just look at the photos below.
After the jump are 30 still-shots from the trailer for you to gawk over. The include everything from the 50′s setting and locations to pictures of Leonardo DiCaprio, Mark Ruffalo, Ben Kingsley, Michelle Williams, Emily Mortimer, Jackie Earle Haley, and more.
