Boo! Paul Blart: Mall Cop continues to haunt me from the grave. The movie that became a surprise hit for everyone involved earlier this year, has spawned new work for its director. According to Variety, Dimension Films has signed Steve Carr to direct the remake of the 1986 sci-fi comedy, Short Circuit. So, unfortunately the studio is actually going to go through with this new take on the old film.

This was horrible news to wake up to. Remember the rumblings from a while back about a remake of the 1980′s sci-fi comedy, Short Circuit? According to Empire, the film is getting closer and closer to becoming a reality. A screenwriter has been hired to pen the script and it’s Dan Milano.
