The live action adaptation of the DC Comics property Shazam! has been on and off the movie radar for the past year, with no steady sign of life. Over at CineFools, they’ve discovered some interesting news from the film’s co-writer Bill Birch and he discussed the casting for the superhero, which may or may not include Dwayne Johnson or Ryan Reynolds.

There has been a complete 360 degree turn around regarding the Warner Brother’s DC comic adaptation of Shazam! As I reported earlier Get Smart director, Peter Segal was attach to helm the film, based on a script by John August. Also, Get Smart co-star Dwayne Johnson had the role of the film’s bad guy Black Adam locked up. However, according to Superherohype, this project is, for lack of a better term “dunzo.”
