We’re very sequel heavy on DVD this week as one of the spring’s biggest sequel hits, and biggest sequel flops, both come to DVD on the same day.
That’s right, it’s finally Fast Five day on DVD so you can take the all-star cast from the nearly billion-dollar megahit home with you. Or, if horror is more your speed, you can hang out for the thousand-dollar non-hit Scream 4 and let the blood flow.
All that plus many more TV on DVD and a whole lot of Lion King.

It was a smooth flight for the animated birds of Rio this weekend. The family film stayed atop the box office during its second weekend, beating Tyler Perry‘s Madea’s Big Happy Family and the film adaptation of the New York Times’ best seller Water for Elephants. In just over a week, Rio has been able to gross a hefty $81.2 million, while Water for Elephants (the other Fox picture) grossed $17.5 million and came in at No. 3. Another box office success is Hop — despite its competition, this animated film is still gathering gold. This weekend it went over the $100 million mark.

Four of the possible victims and/or murderers (because it could be anyone) talked about their roles in the Scream Franchise, and the franchise itself. For Emma Roberts, Hayden Panettiere, Rory Culkin and Anthony Anderson, all grew up with the original films and the original cast.

Which is funny for a series based around serial killers, and violence, but when two of the primary cast married each other, there’s going to be a familial vibe.
