The fact that the Saw series is still going strong is a mystery to me. It’s like Lionsgate refuses to let it die. On Halloween we can expect our annual sequel from the studio and this time they’ve decided to mix it up. According to STYD, they’ve changed the name of the film. We thought Cary Elwes was done with the Saw series after his stint in the first film that established the ongoing franchise. He’s decided to return for the seventh and hopefully the final installment that will be in 3D (rolls eyes). The studio (Lionsgate) has sent out an official press release with the plot synopsis and the full cast list, which reveals Elwes return as Dr. Lawrence Gordon.
