Sandra Bullock has been popping up all over the place these past few weeks. She appeared at both the MTV Movie Awards and the Guy’s Choice Awards, and now she’s putting on a country music concert…sort of. The Oscar winning actress headed down to Nashville, Tennessee to attend “Nashville Rising: A Benefit Concert for Flood Recovery.”
Last year Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds made movie magic when they starred in the box office hit, The Proposal. According to EW, the duo will reunite for an action comedy called Most Wanted, not to be confused with the 1997 thriller of the same name that starred Keenen Ivory Wayans and Jon Voight. Most Wanted is being used as a tentative title, which we hope they change soon…
Only Sandra Bullock can take a truly awkward moment and make it hilarious. Last night during the MTV Movie Awards she was honored with the Generation Award, which was presented by her co-stars Bradley Cooper (All About Steve), Betty White (The Proposal), and Scarlett Johansson…wait Scarlett Johansson?! What was she doing there? While Cooper and White spoke Bullock’s praises Johansson just sat there like a stone, so they had to do something drastic to break the tension and address the elephant in the room…
Over the past year Sandra Bullock’s career has had a lot of ups in downs. The same year she won the Best Actress Oscar for The Blind Side she also picked up a Razzie award for her sh*tty performance in All About Steve. She was one of the few actors who actually attended the Razzies ceremony and picked it up in person. Now according to a recent report from EW, the Razzies want their award back, not because she didn’t deserve it but because they gave her the wrong trophy.
If you’re a George Clooney fan (and really, who isn’t?) this week equals DVD nirvana as two of his films from last year will debut to join recent release Up In The Air in DVD bins everywhere. There’s also a little movie starring an actress you might have heard of named Sandra Bullock. It’s not like she’s been in the news that much this year, but chances are you may remember her from Speed and want to check her out in Best Picture nominee The Blind Side on DVD. Plus there’s another classic AMC series, a not-so-classic AMC series, and a special edition DVD worth mentioning!

Although I was a bit surprised to see Sandra Bullock take the Oscar last night (she did do a fine job in The Blind Side, but I was rooting for new-comer Carey Mulligan or my favorite Helen Mirren), I will say she gave one damn fine speech, one with a bit of humility, a few jokes, acceptance of her peers, a message to the mothers of adopted parents and then a WHOLE lotta talk about making out with the Streeper.
The winner of the 2010 Academy Award for Best Actress goes to Sandra Bullock for The Blind Side. The actress was the front runner in the category this year and previously won the Golden Globe for this role. She thanked her mother and her fellow nominees, especially her “lover” Meryl Streep. It was emotional and humorous at the same time and for the rest of her life she’ll be cited as Academy Award winner, Sandra Bullock.

One of the highest grossing actresses in Hollywood, Bullock has arguably paid her dues, and as she proudly admits in her speech this evening, has “joined the other side.”
