Taking a break from hamming it up as the eye-patched Nick Fury in just about every single film Marvel Comics has been involved for the past three years (five at last count, with at least two more to go), Sam Jackson has been cast in the neo noir thriller, The Samaritan, playing a character who—get this, you guys—has both of his eyes! Progress!
Samuel L. Jackson appeared on “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” Wednesday evening and he announced some big news. The actor, who played S.H.I.E.L.D. director Nick Fury in Marvel’s Iron Man and Iron Man 2, confirmed his involvement in this year’s Thor and Captain America: The First Avenger. He also revealed that in The Avengers, he’ll have a female sidekick. Watch Jackson talk about the films below…

A new international trailer has been released for the upcoming Adam McKay comedy, The Other Guys. The film stars his frequent collaborator and writing partner Will Ferrell alongside Mark Wahlberg in an ode to the buddy cop genre. He confirmed the production start date for The Avengers and Captain America, and also clarified whether or not he’ll star in his own spin-off movie.

According to THR, the veteran actor will be joined by Kellan Lutz in the upcoming indie action flick Deathgames.
