The one thing thing that Harry Potter and Twilight have in common besides Robert Pattinson is money. Both are bonafide franchises with dedicated fanbases and lucrative merchandising deals, but how much of it do the stars cash in on? Vanity Fair has compiled a list of the top money makers from 2009 and Daniel Radcliffe, Pattinson, and Kristen Stewart all made the cut.
This past summer Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince hit theaters and made quite a bit of money. It’s no surprise that the last book in the series from which the films are based has been split in two. Since the announcement that Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows will be broken up, fans everywhere have been trying to figure out at what point the split will happen. Through the years we have watched the three stars of the Harry Potter movies grow up. Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter), Emma Watson (Hermoine), and Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley), all went from little kids fighting over wizardry to saving people, going on dates, and doing all sorts of normal, teenager activities. It seems like only now that their maturity so noticeable. We thought it would be fun to see how these stars have grown since the first movie came out in 2001 until the present day, so we made a huge gallery charting them from Sorcerer’s Stone in 2001 to todays Half-Blood Prince.

When the popular Harry Potter franchise first started, all of the child actors were complete unknowns. Over the years, the world has watched them evolve from cute little kids into seemingly well-adjusted young adults. There is something magical about this trio, they have all avoided crotch shots, pictures of them puking outside of bars, DUIs and the rest of that nonsense. Not only that, but they have all evolved into a talented group of actors who might actually have a chance at a career. With the end of the series quickly approaching, the question is, will they be able to transform from child stars into working adult actors?

Warner Brothers just sent over two new clips from Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. The first one is of Harry (Daniel Radcliffe), Ron (Rupert Grint), Hermoine (Emma Watson), and Ginny (Bonnie Wright) all trying to find out what’s inside Harry’s new book, which asks “Who is the Half-Blood Prince?” The second clip involves Bellatrix Lestrange (Helena Bonham Carter) shooting out of the sky and yelling “I Killed Sirius Black”and then tricking the Harry and Ginny into a sticky situation. How will they ever get out (again)!
Now, you should know my opinion on clips by now. I think you should just wait for the movie so that there are as many surprises as possible. BUT! If nothing can spoil it for you and you need a Potter fix, check out the two new clips below…
Move over Harry Potter, Ron Weasley’s about to take the stage. Following suit with his co-star Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint has taken on a more adult role in the British film, Cherry Bomb. We’ll see the young actor doing things we never thought we would. Grint engages in sex, drugs, violence, and in some cases they happen simultaneously! The film costars Robert Sheehan and Kimberley Nixon, and follows their characters as they indulge on a weekend binge of every sin imaginable.

Daniel Radcliffe’s had his turn, then Emma Watson, and now Rupert Grint is planning his exit strategy from beloved child star to adult actor. According to Variety, Grint has signed on to star in the teen drama Cherrybomb. In the film “Grint plays a youth dabbling in drugs, joy-riding and the thrills of teenage sex.” First Radcliffe and his nude scene, now Grint and this toxic mix. Not my favorite title, but so excited for the movie! Is anyone else a little pissed off that we’re not getting any Potter with our Turkey dinner this year? It sure looks like it’s ready to go!
