Best known as the voice of Darth Maul, and as Shaun’s less compassionate flatmate in Shaun of the Dead, he’s also a UK TV star, with his shows “Look Around You”, and “The Peter Serafinowicz Show.” Recently he’s branched into working stateside with a supporting role on the now-cancelled “Running Wilde,” and a humorous part in Couples Retreat. Sylvester Stallone has developed a menswear, perfume and accessories company named Sly, Inc. and has told Men’s Health Week that the clothes will be inspired by his two most popular characters, John Rambo and Rocky Balboa. The products will be available sometime next year. Stallone was moved to fashion design after losing weight for the last Rambo film.

It’s that time again. This Sunday, February 22, the 81st Annual Academy Awards will air on the ABC network. Every year one thing’s for certain, some nominees will take home a gold statue, while others will leave empty handed, which basically means someone will be disappointed. Any and everything that happens before the winners are announces means nothing once someone has a little gold man to hang on to. And yet people still talk about the “woulda, shoulda, couldas” of the night, especially when the sure thing, loses to the unexpected.

As much as everyone likes to bag on the Academy Awards for being stuffy and predictable, every once in a while you get thrown a curve ball. Sometimes it’s a refreshing surprise and other times it’s an complete snub. Over the eight decades that the Oscars have been awarded they’ve had their fair share of surprises and upsets that continue to be talked about years down the line.

How many action stars do you need in one movie? According to Variety, three’s a charm. Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, and Jet Li have all signed on to co-star in the action flick,The Expendables. The film will be the first producing gig for Robert Earl, co-owner of Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas.

Principal photography on “The Expendables” will start in February in Brazil and Louisiana with Stallone directing from his own script about a team of mercenaries aiming to infiltrate a South American country and overthrow its dictator.
