No, not the semi-reviled explorer! The semi-reviled writer and director! You’ve got a day off, there’s no family celebration, and there’s nothing whatsoever to do…so you might as well spend Columbus Day with Chris Columbus, as he’s got something for everyone. Well, his movies. We understand he’s got plans that day.

Robin Williams is a talented Oscar winning actor and comedian who’s tackled every role under the sun. Lately he’s had the yearning to play an iconic character in one of the most anticipated sequels of the decade. According to a recent interview, he wants to appear in Christopher Nolan’s Batman 3 as none other than The Riddler (previously played by Jim Carrey in Batman Forever). Dammit Williams, aren’t you about 20 years too late for this?

The upcoming Robin Williams, John Travolta comedy Old Dogs may not scream hilarity at first glance, but some of the clips that have been released from the film are somewhat entertaining. The latest scene that’s hit the fan is entitled “Nut Job,” which accurately describes the action in this clip. It features Williams, more old dudes, and a highly victimized Seth Green.

Talk about sitting down with two of the most outrageous men in cinema. Bobcat Goldthwait and Robin Williams both joined a room full of about a dozen journalists to talk about their upcoming film World’s Greatest Day. At first, the two men appear completely different, Williams is practically jumping on the table and singing songs, while Bobcat appears far more reserved and selective about what he says, but don’t be fooled. Both united through one sick sense of humor and a love for films.
To set the mood, Williams starting us off with a little routine he’s been working on called “Julia Child does Porn”…
Williams: “Smack your bum, take your cock, hold it up, addd the crums, push it around, spread its little legs and work your cock. Take your cock and smack it around and then move it around and shake it around until the bread crums are all put on. [Breaks character] Julia Childs does porn. [Back to Julie Child...] Yes. How warm is your oven? Yes. Gently dust me. Yes, yes. Who wants more? Yes, yes.”
What makes Williams so impressive is his ability to jump from a completely comedic character to complete seriousness within a drop of a hat, and how clear he can convey both sides of himself. With that in mind, now we can begin…

Check out the Red Band trailer for writer/director Bob Goldthwait‘s film World’s Greatest Dad starring Robin Williams. Surprisingly, it’s far more entertaining and foul-mouthed than what we’ve come to expect from Williams. This might be his return to a solid dramatic comedy.
The film appears to have a large amount of dark humor to go along with romantic comedy side of it. The film is about a unsuccessful-single father who is trying to raise a teenage boy who wants to spend his days “looking at vagina’s.”
Check out the trailer below. Beware it is Red Band and therefore is NSFW or the kiddies…

You may have heard the noise surrounding Kevin Smith’s upcoming studio film entitled A Couple of Dick’s. I liked that title but it is no longer with us. Even though it’s an obvious play on words, the film is now being called A Couple of Cops. Boo!!! Smith will direct Bruce Willis and 30 Rock alumni Tracy Morgan as the two leads. It looks as if their sticking to that odd couple format. I can already see Morgan as the wild and obnoxious wild card, while Willis will be the veteran who does everything by the book. Oh, the jokes that will ensue!
