See! They are incorporating jeeps into Ridley Scott‘s upcoming Robin Hood film! We speculated about it after seeing Russell Crowe driving around in one in full wardrobe, but in this scene we see that they’re being used to kill all the evil villains who steal… too much?
Comingsoon.net has just released 98 more photos from the Robin Hood set on the coast of South Wales. I’m not sure if these were taken by on-lookers or from someone on set, but they are pretty in depth and there are a ton of them which leads me to believe that these are actual set photos.

First came the photos of the sets and now we get the talent! Apparently, Ridley Scott has found a new way to update Robin Hood… with jeeps! And you thought they were just doing the old “steal from the rich and give to the poor gag.” Don’t worry, I’m sure there will be plenty of tie ins to modern politics for you.
As you can see Russell Crowe, co-star Kevin Durand, and I think that’s Scott Grimes, are driving their way into set in Wales. They’re currently shooting on Pembrokeshire beach with a cast and crew of over 800, plus 130 horses. In a town like Wales, that basically means you’ve taken over.
You can see Robin Hood’s real mode of transportation and wardrobe below…

Dirt! Huts! An abandoned village! What’s going on here? These photos were taken by a local couple who live near the site of production for the newest version of Robin Hood. The location of the photos is Bourne Wood, Surrey in the United Kingdom. Ridley Scott chose to begin filming in February 2009 in forests around London. The couple claim the set included a huge castle, 2 villages and what looks like a fort. Everything one would expect to find on the set of a Robin Hood movie! According to the couple there was a prop tent which was filled to the “plastic rafters” with extras such as carpets, vases, bowls, gigantic jars, and a lot more.
Check out some of the photos they took below…
