Live from New York, it’s a two-time Oscar winner, and a guy with the bluest eyes you’ve ever seen! Robert De Niro and Paul Rudd have been tapped to host episodes of NBC’s “Saturday Night Live.” Both actors have already appeared on the show in the past, do you remember De Niro’s cat-lady skit? What about Rudd playing the sleazy music video director behind Beyonce’s “Single Ladies” parody? Hopefully these two can add some much needed life to the lackluster series.

Stone hits theaters with a thump. This is a film packed to the brim with ideas and a lot of potential. The fact that you have Robert De Niro and Edward Norton facing off in some pretty intense scenes definitely helps the film as a whole. Sadly it lacks any grand significance in the end that you’ll be craving after going through such an intense experience — but then again, that might just be the point, you don’t always get what you want.

If Robert De Niro was to star in a film with both Al Pacino and Joe Pesci, would the world explode? It seems like it would. De Niro starred opposite Pesci in Raging Bull, Goodfellas, and Casino and alongside Pacino in Heat and Righteous Kill. According to Deadline, all 3 of the Oscar winners might unite on the screen for one big project, The Irishman.

Machete is an old school, grind house action flick with guns, knives, and a strong political undertone. The last description doesn’t really fit but that didn’t stop Robert Rodriguez from using this trailer turned film to vocalize his disdain for U.S. immigration policies. The filmmaker has a huge bone to pick but instead of addressing Congress, he’s taking his argument to the theater!

John Curran, the writer of The Killer Inside Me, and the director of The Painted Veil and We Don’t Live Here Anymore, bring us yet another tricky film to contemplate, Stone. The project was written by Angus McLachlan and directed by himself. We first saw a trailer for this film back in September ’09 (which we had to take down) and as of this summer they’ve updated their trailer and have finally been pushing the film for release.
Though the story seems to be the usual crime twist with Robert De Niro and Edward Norton, but once you add in Milla Jovovich’s character everything’s up in the air. If there’s one thing that’s for sure it’s that Curran knows how to take his audience on both physical and mental journeys.

The marketing campaign for Little Fockers doesn’t bring anything new to the table. Robert De Niro and Ben Stiller are still at each other’s throats, Blythe Danner is still flighty, Teri Polo is still clueless, and Owen Wilson is still…unnecessary. A new poster has been released for the third film in the Meet the Parents series and it’s pretty, damn boring. Seriously, we’ve seen this sh*t before. Don’t take my word for it, see for yourself…
