Rob Zombie wants to take his directing talents to the small screen and he’s using one of TV’s most popular shows to do it. According to Yahoo, the singer turned director is planning on doing a stint on one of CBS’ many “CSI” shows. Which one you ask? The one with the bad acting and the red-haired lead who has an affinity for sun glasses.
Rob Zombie, recently released his slasher film Halloween II and is about to release something that he can really get behind, The Haunted World of El Superbeasto x-rated cartoon comes complete with nudity, gore, and as many insults as possible. Somehow he managed to snag the voices of Paul Giamatti, Rosario Dawson, Sheri Moon Zombie and Brian Posehn.

In some contradicting film news, director Rob Zombie has been confirmed to helm the remake of 1958′s The Blob. According to Variety, the Halloween director will take on the horror classic, but will make some necessary tweaks to the story. We thought Zombie was done with remakes?

He’s baaaaack. After an eighty-million dollar box office success in 2007 with Halloween, Rob Zombie will re-introduce everyone’s favorite neighborhood whack job: Michael Meyers. Halloween 2, starring Scout Taylor-Compton, picks up where the last film ends, but this time there’s even more blood, screaming, and senseless killing. Shocker.

Tonight at midnight, Halloween 2 will terrorize audiences nationwide. Woot Woot. Last week, I attended the press conference for the film and got the rundown from the film’s director, Rob Zombie, who for such a dark and juvenile director/musician is incredibly soft-spoken and introverted.

When all else fails, make a campy thriller with Michael Myers at the helm. Rob Zombie‘s Halloween II (no longer H2) is set for release later on this summer (August 28) and Dimension Films have just unleashed the second full length trailer. Nothings really changed; we see people getting the ax by the giant Myers man, and little children in Halloween costumes. But don’t take my word for it, see for yourself.

We previously brought you some of the teaser footage from Rob Zombie’s H2 trailer earlier this week. Now, it has officially been released and you can view it in it’s entirety. It pretty much features Michael Myers literally slashing through a hospital to get to his sister, Laurie. As I said before I know this is supposed to be different from the original Halloween 2, but I still notice some heavy handed similarities. I do enjoy some of Zombies films, but Halloween just wasn’t one of them. Some early complaints I’ve read about this trailer suggests that there are a few eerie similarities to Friday the 13th. If your a follower of musician turned filmmaker Rob Zombie you must be dying to see some live action footage from his upcoming sequel to 2007′s Halloween. The director gave a video exclusive to TV magazine Entertainment Tonight that shows the mutilated maniac running a muck in a hospital. I was under the impression that H2 wasn’t going to be a remake of Halloween 2 from 1981, yet I see some major similarities in this clip. The video poster edited together the original ET footage and a slow motion version so you can get a glimpse of all the little stuff that you may have missed the first time around.
