A new trailer has been released for the Rob Marshall musical Nine. As the release date nears, the Weinstein Company continues to pull out all the stops to make the film’s presence known this holiday season. This is the third trailer for the film that features Daniel Day-Lewis as a misguided Italian film director.

Months ago rumors surfaced that Chicago and Nine director Rob Marshall would take over directing duties on Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides. According to AICN, the director confirmed himself at a Q&A event that took place after an early screening of Nine, that he would in fact direct Pirates 4.
Over at Yahoo, they’ve unleashed a new video promoting Rob Marshall’s upcoming musical Nine. Unlike traditional trailers, this is a behind the scenes rehearsal featurette that intertwines with shots from the actual film. It’s quite entertaining, and you get to see the actors out of character. The video highlights the ladies of the cast (sorry Daniel), so check out their hard work in action.

The Rob Marshall adaptation of Nine will be at a theater near you starting November 25th, and the studio has been marketing the film like crazy. Two new photos from the musical have been released, and they feature Oscar winners Daniel Day-Lewis and Penelope Cruz. After taking a good look at both images, they have to be two of the most depressing photos I’ve ever seen. I know the film is about the highs and the lows of show business, but yeesh!

Rob Marshall, the man who had us tapping our feet to the feature film Chicago may have set his sights on the high seas. According to Variety, the director is up to helm the highly anticipated fourth installment of Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean franchise. The last news we heard regarding the film, had to do with director Gore Verbinski jumping ship (no pun intended). Now the trade is suggesting that Marshall may be on board to bring back Jack!
