Earlier this morning there were reports that the fourth film in the Resident Evil franchise had been pushed back according to ShockTillYouDrop. Now franchise star Milla Jovovich has taken to her Twitter to correct the production rumors and throw out some much needed facts.
The cast for the upcoming fourth installment of the Resident Evil franchise were caught filming recently in Toronto, Cananda, and we’ve got the first look at the actors on set. The new movie is entitled Afterlife and will have Milla Jovovich reprising her role as Alice, the superhuman heroine of the film series. In the following photo we to get to see her as well as cast mates Wentworth Miller and Ali Larter in costume.

Last week, we told you that actor Boris Kodjoe had recently joined the cast of the upcoming sequel Resident Evil: Afterlife alongside Milla Jovovich. According to Empire, two more actors have signed on to co-star, and one of them is already familiar with the franchise. Ali Larter will reprise her role from Resident Evil: Extinction, while Prison Break alum Wentworth Miller has also been cast in the film.

According to Bloody Disgusting, the video game adaptation has been confirmed for another sequel that will serve as a semi-reboot for the entire franchise. In unison let as all exclaim, “Why?”
Are there any Resident Evil fans out there? Well here is a bit of news that might make you happy; the popular video game/movie franchise is getting another addition! Writer, Paul W.S. Anderson, revealed last year that he was, in fact, working on a script for the movie and there is a tentative release date. The fourth installation, titled Resident Evil: Afterlife, is set for September 17, 2010. There isn’t much information on what will happen, other than it will be set in Tokyo, Japan.
