It’s time. Time for high body counts, mass hysteria, alien invaders, explosions, tanks, helos (I learned that’s what the Marine’s call a chopper!), machine guns and a hell of a lot one liners like “we’ve already had breakfast”! Hell yeah! Battle: Los Angeles hits theaters this weekend with a whole lot of blood-shed! This movie is basically a video game on the big screen. For those of you looking for a good popcorn flick with plenty of solid action, this film delivers. On the other hand if you’re looking for a solid story, you might be better off with Jane Eyre or last week’s The Adjustment Bureau. Let me explain…

Today at the press junket for Jonathan Liebesman‘s upcoming springtime, alien invasion Battle: Los Angeles, we had a chance to talk to one of the film’s lead ensemble actors Ramon Rodriguez. Ramon has not been on the scene for long, but did manage to impress audiences with his comedic timing in Michael Bay‘s second Transformers film Revenge of the Fallen. If you’re looking for him to make you laugh in this film, you’re looking in the wrong place, he’s back on the big screen but this time a serious Lieutenant who doesn’t believe in smiling. Rodriguez planes on keeping some of that serious tone even as he departs this film and re-enters fanatsy land as Bosley in the up and coming Charlie’s Angels…

Over the past few weeks, ABC has been fast tracking the development of their “Charlie’s Angels” reboot. The main three actresses have already been cast and they’re Annie Ilonzeh, Minka Kelly, and Racheal Taylor. Next, there was a huge void left for who would play their handler John Bosley, and the golden voice Charlie Townsend. The latter character hasn’t been confirmed but the new Bosley has and he’s none other than Ramon Rodriguez!

One of the films promoted at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con was the action flick, Battle: Los Angeles. Prior to the panel, not much was known about the feature besides who starred in it and who directed it. They showed some footage to the attending audience that confirmed that it was an alien invasion flick that centered on a government cover up (no surprise there). Today the first trailer for Battle: Los Angeles has premiered conveniently on the day that Skyline hits theaters. Coincidence? We think not! Take a look…

It’s been a while since we’ve heard anything about the action flick Battle: Los Angeles. The biggest piece of news regarding the film had to do with the casting of Aaron Eckhart as its lead. According to THR months later, six more actors have joined the film with R&B singer-songwriter Ne-Yo leading the pack.

What, you popped a shoulder? Oh, yeah bro. You see you never told me that… You want to sue me?
Classy Michael Bay. Last Friday they held a press conference for Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen with Director Michael Bay fresh off a plane from Moscow and cast members Megan Fox, Tyrese Gibson, Josh Duhamel, Kevin Dunn, and Ramon Rodriguez.
There was some definite tension in the air between the actors and Bay. Megan Fox certainly didn’t have any issues with negating her Director, even though she was trying to be a good, supportive actress and promote the film and her co-star Shia LaBeouf who wasn’t able to attend. She and some of the other cast members did reveal that for the most part, they were treating this film like a summer action film, with tequila shots at Chili’s after the 16 hour (or 12 hours if you listen to Bay) days to let off steam.
Check out what they had to bicker about below…
