We just saw the first footage from The Green Lantern at Comic-Con 2010 with Ryan Reynolds, Blake Lively, Peter Sarsgaard, and Mark Strong (who are all here at the panel). The footage is still very raw seeing as the film doesn’t even come out for another year and they’re still shooting – frankly it’s impressive they had so much so soon!

Peter Sarsgaard is reportedly in talks to play Dr. Hector Hammond, the villain in the upcoming comic book adaptation of Green Lantern. It seems crazy that they’re still casting this film, but when it’s good news like this, I’ll take what I can get!

There had been some rumors that Jackie Earle Haley had got the part, but apparently it’s still up for grabs even though DC started principal photography on the film just yesterday and looks to begin shooting in March in New Orleans.

An Education: Movie Review

aneducation09 7 15 An Education: Movie Review

“Action is Character.”

When I think of this line from the film, I realize that it represents everything in it. Your action, in order to build your character, is to go and see this film. I assure you, you’re in for a real treat with director Lone Scherfig’s adaptation of Lynn Barber’s memoir, An Education. With some of the best performances that I’ve seen all year lead by the new “it” girl Carey Mulligan, when you see this film you’ll realize what all the buzz is about.

Interview: Peter Sarsgaard and Dominic Cooper for An Education

dominic peter09 10 6 Interview: Peter Sarsgaard and Dominic Cooper for An Education

These two suave men give the cast of “Mad Men” a run for their money. Both Peter Sarsgaard and Dominic Cooper prefectly represent two men in the 60′s looking to live a life of luxury in Lone Scherfig’s upcoming romantic drama An Education. Although according to “Sars” (that’s what Carey Mulligan was calling him, so why can’t we?), luck has more to do with his characters success than his ability to be in any way cool and/or smooth… he had me fooled.

The duo is both strong and sexy, while remaining secretive and distant. Both work together to bring two immensely different characters to the screen that will blow you away.

Last week I had the opportunity of sitting around a table and talking to Sars  and Cooper about their role in this sure to be Oscar nominated film.

Interview With Orphan Actor Peter Sarsgaard

saarsgard Interview With Orphan Actor Peter Sarsgaard

Peter Sarsgaard is mostly known for his dramatic roles in such films as Boys Don’t Cry, Jarhead, and Dead Man Walking. He is a true thespian who is just as talented in the theater as he is on film. So, what would make such a versatile performer take a role as a supporting character in a horror flick?

The actor stars in Orphan, a terrifying film about a child adopted from a girls home, who wreaks havoc on her new relatives. Sarsgaard plays the father and husband who is trying to keep everyone and everything together while adjusting to his new daughter. Little does he know that the latest addition to his family isn’t as innocent as she looks.

Check out our interview with Peter Sarsgaard after the jump.
