D23 had some high and low points in terms of its film presentations, but one of the clear winners in terms of fan support and interest was the Pixar presentation – which ended with each audience audience being given a cupcake. Two new projects were announced: director Bob Petersen and producer John Walker are working on “The Untitled Pixar film about Dinosaurs,” and director Pete Docter was producer Jonas Rivera are working on “The Untitled Pixar Movie that Takes You Inside the Mind.”

The winner of the 2010 Academy Award for Best Animated Feature goes to Up. The film is also nominated for Best Motion Picture in the live action category, but it didn’t surprise anyone that it took top honors in the animated field. Pete Docter accepted the award for the film and thanked his cast, crew, and his family whom he called his “greatest adventure.”

It’s time for the 13th Annual Hollywood Film Festival and an official press release was just sent out revealing the film roster for this year’s event. The programming includes features, documentaries, shorts and music videos from around the world, including films from Bulgaria, Canada, Germany, Israel, Mexico, the Netherlands, South Korea, Spain, Uganda, the United Kingdom and of course, the United States.

There is no doubt in my mind, Pete Docter is a genius. He has created the perfect film. Up is heartfelt, beautiful, entertaining, and absolutely hilarious. It’s the perfect combination of drama, comedy, and action. I think it’s safe to say that I may be his (and Dug the Dog’s) biggest fan, and I have no doubt that after this weekend you will be too.
Pete was busy up in San Francisco, but he took the time to talk over the phone to talk to a few journalists about his upcoming film. While talking to Pete, you see where his film get’s it’s heart and edge from, he is so humble and genuine, but he’s definitely a unique character himself.
